Inspection & Scope of Work
Full re-skim of all walls and ceilings across 3-bedroom Victorian terrace. Prep work included removing old artex from ceilings, patching damaged plasterboard, and applying two-coat finish to all surfaces. Total area approximately 180 sqm.
Challenges Encountered
The property had extensive artex ceilings throughout, some areas of blown plaster, and a damp patch in the hallway requiring treatment before plastering could begin.
Our Solution
We overboarded the worst artex areas with 9.5mm plasterboard, treated the damp patch with damp-proof membrane, then applied a scratch coat followed by finishing plaster to all surfaces. The result was perfect flat walls ready for decoration.
